Papers: Man Utd confident Fernandes will stay this summer

Real Madrid expected to trigger Dumfries release clause

Latest from Your Site News' Dharmesh Sheth:

Real Madrid are expected to trigger the 17.3m (20m) release clause to sign Inter Milan defender Denzel Dumfries

Personal terms understood to be agreed in principle.

Your Site News reported four unnamed Premier League clubs were interested in signing Dumfries, but he now looks to be on his way to Madrid.

It was reported earlier on Tuesday that soon-to-be free agent Ibrahima Konate is increasingly likely to sign for Madrid.

Man Utd agree deal to sign Ederson

Latest from Your Site News' Danyal Khan:

Manchester United have agreed a deal to sign Atalanta midfielder Ederson.

Your Site News understands United will pay an initial fee of 34m (40.5m) plus 3.8m (4.5m) in potential add-ons.

Ederson is set to sign a four-year deal at the club with an option to extend his stay for an additional 12 months.

The deal is expected to go through before July, subject to Ederson completing a medical, which would make the 26-year-old the first signing of the Michael Carrick era.

United now look set to sign a player they have held a long-term interest in but want to sign another midfielder during the summer window, due to Casemiro leaving and Manuel Ugarte likely also departing.

Robinson leaves Salford with immediate effect

Salford City have confirmed Karl Robinson has left his position as head coach with immediate effect.

The decision comes after heartbreak at Wembley Stadium on May 25, following their 3-0 defeat to Notts County in the League Two play-off final.

A statement from the club read: "This decision has been reached unanimously by the clubs board and executive team following a thorough review of the football operation.

"These decisions are never easy, but we believe this is the right moment to make a change as we look ahead to the next chapter in Salford Citys development.

"On behalf of everyone connected with the club, we would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Karl and his staff for their hard work and dedication.

"We wish Karl every success in the future. The process of appointing a new head coach will begin immediately, and we will provide a further update to supporters in due course."

Liverpool reach agreement with Iraola

Latest from Your Site News' Vinny O'Connor:

Liverpool have reached a verbal agreement with Andoni Iraola to become their new head coach.

Your Site News understands Iraola wants Pablo de la Torre, Tommy Elphick, Shaun Cooper, Tom Webber to join him at Anfield.

A formal announcement from Liverpool could happen in the coming days.

The process was led by sporting director Richard Hughes, who appointed Iraola at Bournemouth in 2023 before he moved to Anfield the following year.

After Liverpool sacked Slot on Saturday, Your Site News revealed that Iraola was the front-runner and formal talks were expected to start this week.

Liverpool's main objective has been to identify and recruit the individual who best suits their preferred playing style.

'Big summer' for Liverpool as transfer priorities revealed

Your Site News' Vinny O'Connor:

"Finances are not the issue; they have been pretty good over the years at balancing the books.

"Yes, they had a big spend [last season]. But the net spend was not massive because of the players they were able to offload.

"In that respect, they are in good shape. They do need to add to the squad, though.

"When you look at the squad, they need to bring in pace to the wide forward areas. Yan Diomande is one they have identified but they are facing competition.

"You look at the back line, [Jeremy] Jacquet is coming in, [Giovanni] Leoni is already there but he's been out all season with the ACL [injury]. They are two young lads at centre-half.

"Ibrahima Konate is also gone. You have to wonder if they need further experience there. Particularly with the injury record of Joe Gomez and Connor Bradley.

"One other area which would help Andoni Iraola is at No 6. Ryan Gravenberch has been successful but his workload has been massive.

"It's a big summer for Liverpool if they want to play the way they want to play moving forward."

Konate edges closer to Real Madrid move as talks continue

Latest from Your Site News' Adrian Kajumba and Amar Mehta:

Ibrahima Konate is increasingly likely to sign for Real Madrid after his exit from Liverpool was confirmed.

Talks are ongoing between the club and the player; however, any potential move would depend on their ongoing presidential elections.

Konate announced that he is leaving Liverpool after five years at Anfield, where he won the Premier League, the FA Cup and League Cup.

The 27-year-old was also part of France's 2022 World Cup squad that finished second in Qatar and will be hoping they can go one step further this year. Didier Deschamps side are in Group I, with Iraq, Norway and Senegal.

No concerns over Ndiaye future at Everton

Latest from Your Site News' Vinny O'Connor:

Everton are not concerned about the future of Iliman Ndiaye, who is under contract until 2029.

The club have previously held talks over an improved deal, with nothing agreed yet.

The Senegal international moved to Everton in July 2024 from French side Marseille. He has played 71 times for Everton in all competitions, scoring 17 goals.

Ndiaye was also part of the Senegal side that reached the African Cup of Nations final earlier this year. He has been called up for the World Cup by Pape Thiaw, with their opening game taking place against France, where Ndiaye was born.

McKenna high on Fulham's shortlist of Silva successors

Latest from Your Site News' Lyall Thomas and James Cole:

Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna is expected to be high on Fulham's shortlist to replace Marco Silva.

Your Site News understands McKennas compensation would be in the region of 8m after becoming a Premier League manager with Ipswich again.

Fulham have not contacted any potential successors yet, with Silva having only just confirmed that he will leave on Tuesday.

But the Ipswich boss has admirers at many clubs, including at Craven Cottage, and he is expected to be among the names under serious consideration.

He has twice promoted Ipswich from the Championship and been in contention for the head coach role at Chelsea, Manchester United and others in the past few years.
