Talks underway for Sage to replace Glasner at Palace

Latest from Your Site News' James Savundra:

Discussions are underway for Pierre Sage to succeed Oliver Glasner at Crystal Palace.

Palace are continuing to hold conversations with a number of managerial candidates. However, they appear to have stepped up their interest in the current Lens head coach.

Sage led Lens to a second-placed finish in Ligue 1 in his first season in charge and also won the Coupe de France.

Andoni Iraola was the club's primary target to replace Glasner before Liverpool moved to appoint the former Bournemouth head coach.

The likes of Frank Lampard, Dino Toppmoller and Kieran McKenna have also been considered this summer.

Hojlund completes Napoli move

Rasmus Hojlund has completed his 38m permanent move to Napoli from Manchester United.

The 23-year-old joins the Serie A runners-up after a clause in his season-long loan to the Italian side was triggered by their qualification for next season's Champions League.

Hojlund scored 12 goals in 33 league appearances back in Italy last season, having struggled to settle at Old Trafford since a 64m move from Atalanta in 2023 - and netting just 14 goals in 62 league games in England.

RB Leipzig in talks to extend Gruda's time at club

Latest from Sky in Germany and Your Site News' Elliot Cook:

RB Leipzig are in talks over extending Brighton midfielder Brajan Gruda's time at the club.

The Germany U21 international spent the second half of last season on loan at the Bundesliga club.

Sky in Germany are reporting that Leipzig are exploring the idea of borrowing him again for the season with an option to buy and another possibility is a loan with an obligation to buy.

It's likely Leipzig would have to raise money through sales to be able to afford a permanent deal.

Brighton are understood to be open to discussions about him spending next season in Germany.

No concerns over Ndiaye future at Everton

Latest from Your Site News' Vinny O'Connor:

The club have previously held talks over an improved deal, with nothing agreed yet.

The Senegal international moved to Everton in July 2024 from French side Marseille. He has played 71 times for Everton in all competitions, scoring 17 goals.

Ndiaye was also part of the Senegal side that reached the African Cup of Nations final earlier this year. He has been called up for the World Cup by Pape Thiaw, with their opening game taking place against France, where Ndiaye was born.

Latest from Your Site News' Anthony Joseph:

'Big summer' for Liverpool as transfer priorities revealed

Your Site News' Vinny O'Connor:

"Finances are not the issue; they have been pretty good over the years at balancing the books.

"Yes, they had a big spend [last season]. But the net spend was not massive because of the players they were able to offload.

"In that respect, they are in good shape. They do need to add to the squad, though.

"When you look at the squad, they need to bring in pace to the wide forward areas. Yan Diomande is one they have identified but they are facing competition.

"You look at the back line, [Jeremy] Jacquet is coming in, [Giovanni] Leoni is already there but he's been out all season with the ACL [injury]. They are two young lads at centre-half.

"Ibrahima Konate is also gone. You have to wonder if they need further experience there. Particularly with the injury record of Joe Gomez and Connor Bradley.

"One other area which would help Andoni Iraola is at No 6. Ryan Gravenberch has been successful but his workload has been massive.

"It's a big summer for Liverpool if they want to play the way they want to play moving forward."

Man Utd agree deal to sign Ederson

Latest from Your Site News' Danyal Khan:

Manchester United have agreed a deal to sign Atalanta midfielder Ederson.

Your Site News understands United will pay an initial fee of 34m (40.5m) plus 3.8m (4.5m) in potential add-ons.

Ederson is set to sign a four-year deal at the club with an option to extend his stay for an additional 12 months.

The deal is expected to go through before July, subject to Ederson completing a medical, which would make the 26-year-old the first signing of the Michael Carrick era.

United now look set to sign a player they have held a long-term interest in but want to sign another midfielder during the summer window, due to Casemiro leaving and Manuel Ugarte likely also departing.
